Joining your friends’ games and joining pub games are entirely different ballparks due to the mod list and order system. Sometimes these recommendations will be found in the comments section, and sometimes they are found in the mod loader. Be sure to read the mod’s page on the Steam Workshop to see if the author recommends a particular placement. Some mods do not require that they be in any particular position, but some do. ![]() Make sure that everyone launches the game with mods and not the vanilla client.Make a list of mods to give anyone joining your game and give the priority order to avoid compatibility issues.Everyone will have to sync to the host when they try to join a game, but you can iron out several connectivity kinks by having everyone download each mod before they launch the game.I have been playing Synergies + Essentials, and i dont have crash or conflicts to this point. So, I just no install Synergies in early game, just in endgame? You can simply install a "lowpop" mod to bring the number of enemies down close to Vanilla levels, while still maintaining the challenge of Synergies. Originally posted by Plum:Even though this is old and none of you probably play TL2 anymore, but for the people (like me) who googled Synergies vs, go for Synergies. Those are the mods you want to use when you're not interested in additional content later on and want to experience the "real" TL2, with NG+, Mapworks expansions and a smoother, more polished TL2 Experience. What "Vanilla like" mods like Unearthed Arcana, TL2 Essentials etc do is enhance the core gameplay - what Synergies lacks. Selrock provides a smooth leveling process after playing through the campaign.Īn alternative is The Realms of Discord, an endless dungeon that scales to your level and features normal mobs, chests, breakables, bosses, heroes and special "bosses" that drop a portal in another level of Discord. These work like normal quests, with Fame, Gold and XP rewards + An item reward scaled to your level. ![]() Bring item x from enemy hero/champion/boss located in y If you are mostly interested in what Synergies provides, you can play thorugh the game once and then go to Selrock, a mid-level hub that has: Synergies also has tens of new sets and hundreds of new items. They sell gear you'll absolutely need when you hit that level 100 and want to continue your journey, without playing the game through agan, again. Beware though - it contains Vendors and Enchanters that may seem lucrative to abuse, at a low level of 50 min requirements. When you're leveling, you'll notice a place called "TableMountain", that's the place you use to access the REAL content of Synergies. End game crafting is a blast, Bosses drop crafting materials and "trash" mobs drop items that will allow you to survive better. The bosses have interesting mechanics, there are completely new animations, textures, tactics, EVERYTHING. I've consoled one character to 100, consoled some gold and tried out the content it provides, and damn was it fulfilling. 95% of the content it provides is for levels 95 and up, though 100 is recommended. You can play without it (Vanilla, Unearrthed Arcana or Essentials) and when you get to a point where you want to partake in a real challenge, just Sub to Synergies. Not level 42, this is to allow players to remain in the game and not get overwhelmed by monsters. ![]() The mod isnt about the leveling process, nope.Įdit: And regarding mobs, your last ability on the skill bar is now unlocked at level _16_. Even though this is old and none of you probably play TL2 anymore, but for the people (like me) who googled Synergies vs, go for Synergies.
